Furuhælvetica
Furuhælvetica was a project involving work by 11 designers showing experimentations with the wood material pine. The project started with a five days workshop in the woods of Norway where we tried to find new ways to use this traditional material, and reasons why.
From the start of the workshop in August 2009, exhibition in September and a second exhibition at the Norwegian Centre for Design and Architecture (DogA) in 2010, the project has gained momentum from the Norwegian press. Furuhælvetica was also showing the results at Designers Block in London 2010 and invited to do a event at the Friday Late at Victoria & Albert Museum 2010.
The project was initiated and organized by Bjørn Jørund Blikstad, Marte Frøystad and Runa Klock.
