Produsentens beskrivelse av lampen:

"A delicate and abstract bubble, which moves through space, fills the environment with a Northern white light: this is the image that immediately springs to mind with YOKO, the new table lamp by Norwegian designers Anderssen & Voll.

Conceptual and ethereal, and simple yet sophisticated, YOKO is a table lamp with a bold and modern aesthetic that challenges the archetypal form of a traditional table lamp. YOKO features a transparent piece, which rests on an illuminating body. The lamp is the perfect balance of simplicity and lightness, in that it draws its inspiration from the image of a bubble about to burst resting on the light source.

YOKO possesses a Scandinavian style that is underlined by the choice of different colors, which are light and barely tinged on. These color choices recall the Northern light (source of inspiration) in a way where the tint of the transparent body reflects pale hues when the lamp is illuminated.

YOKO was conceived and built thanks to lengthy and painstaking research of materials and form. Countless tests were carried out meticulously with an acute attention to the detail of the curvature of the lamp’s silhouette. The extremely sophisticated technology involved plays a fundamental role. It however remains concealed by the rarefied silhouette, and by the perfect balance between the two main pieces. The development of the original concept was skilfully changed to a sophisticated industrialization process; YOKO was made based on the blown moulding technique with an innovative material such as Polymethilmethacrylate. These modern materials and technologies have made it possible to create an object with immense appeal and with a strong personality.

Its name, created through the assonance of two similar yet not identical syllables, perfectly embodies the dialogue between the two volumes of YOKO: a charming and well-balanced form of transparencies that creates a suffused and vibrant atmosphere for any corner of the home."
